Rare Copper Barrel Samovar 2 Colors, Tap, John Tylor London, George III Era Ca. 1800

Superb samovar, an unusual item, here, in a high quality of execution. 4 turned brass ball feet support a square bronze base with a scalloped edge. In the center of the base, a brass structure with several evolutions allows the diffusion of heat. In the upper part, the red copper lid surmounted by a hoop and an openwork center reveals the interior and its chimney, comprising the (very heavy) bronze weight, also allowing heat to be retained. On the sides, brass rings, and in front brass tap, functional. On the front, there is a round silver medallion, adorned with the hallmarks of the silversmith. Below the bronze base, the mark of John Tylor London.
English working dating from the very beginning of the 19th century, period of the reign of George III.
Very good general condition, no break or flaw, some small oxidation and very light shocks, barely visible.
