Large silver hand candlestick, by the master goldsmith Antoine Hience, goldsmith in Paris 30 quai des orfèvres, Paris 1798-1809. The candlestick is hallmarked with the 1st rooster (1798-1809), big guarantee, it is in 950°/°°° silver. The goldsmith's hallmark was in service from 1809 to 1828. The candlestick dates from 1809. Trace of discharge on the socket. The binet unscrews. Rich engraving on the bowl and the grip resuming the decorative register of the Empire, palmettes, stripes of heart, palms. The socket and the bowl are engraved with coats of arms and a crown of Marquis. Weight 382g. Condition, good.
