Temple ridge ornament said, according to interpretations, "Garuda" (Sanskrit: Eagle), mount of the god Vishnu or "Hong / Hamsa" (Thai: Hong / Sanskrit: Hamsa) representing the mythical bird or swan / goose, animal vehicle (vâhana) of the god Brahma. Carved wood, vestige of red and gold polychromy (Brahma colors). Thailand, late 19th / early 20th century. Dimensions of the shofa without the base: 140 cm Delivered with its white or black steel base, adjustable inclination of the shofa. Provenance: Estate of collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau.
