Very beautiful Gouache on ivory, 19th time. Rework of the painting by Pierre Mignard, The Girl with Soap Bubbles, kept at the Château de Versailles (classification mark MV.3624), depicting the fifth child of Louis XIV and the Marquise de Montespan. This posthumous portrait of the princess (1674 - 1681) depicts her on a pile of cushions, surrounded by a dog and a parrot, playing at making soap bubbles using a straw in a conch. In a gilt bronze frame with acanthus leaf friezes, curved glass; of the same era. Dimensions at sight: 11 x 8.5 cm. External frame dimensions: 15.5 x 13 cm. Fairly good state of conservation, a crack visible at the bottom left.
