"Secretary Napoleon Lll"
Napoleon III period secretaire simulating 8 drawers in black wood inlaid with interlacing composed of mother-of-pearl, brass, rosewood. The sides are inlaid with a brass mesh frame. The interior of the secretary also called "theater" is in maple wood to contrast with the black wood and has two drawers inlaid with diamonds in rosewood and lemon tree fillet. The flap is covered with its original midnight blue velvet, chiseled brass lock. Beautiful ornamentation in gilded bronze falls, moldings, etc. Back of the cabinet and drawers in oak, healthy piece of furniture. Small restoration on the right rear corner of the marble.
