Superb patinated terracotta from the Goldsheider factories dating from the 2nd half of the XIX th century and representing a young naked woman at the fountain in the neoclassical spirit.
our terracotta is therefore inspired by antiquity in a neoclassical spirit and is reminiscent of Hebe the goddess of youth often represented in this way, naked with a jug and serving her father metamorphosed into an eagle.
vigor and beauty of youth, she is just dressed in an animal skin and holds a jug, near a stone fountain adorned with a lion's muzzle and whose receptacle is a clam shell.
is superb and very well composed, it rests on a round terrace simulating a flowerbed. the terracotta is signed, numbered (256?) and stamped with various stamps including that of Goldsheider and that of Vienna.
Excellent general condition, a restoration on the handle of the jug, and one at the neck of the stoup, almost invisible.
a very beautiful high quality terracotta in the neoclassical style, superb patina, a very beautiful Hebe.
