"Candlestick “à La Colonne”, Bronze, Late 16th Century."
Rare bronze candlestick called "to the column" (Doric), was surmounted by a cylindrical binet pierced by a window to evacuate the remains of wax. It rests on a circular base. This candle holder is relatively heavy (1.14 kg). France, late 16th century period. Note: this candlestick is in good general condition. An old pewter restoration at the base of the column. Beautiful patina, especially on the barrel. Traces of oxidation and verdigris. Wear of use and time. The cleaning can be fine-tuned. Please take a good look at the photos.
