Late 17th century Italy Rare front of an Italian chasuble embroidered in Orient stitch or Majolica dating from the 17th century. Embroidered hemp background available in three vertical bands sewn with a large baroque decoration. Highly polychrome silk embroidery with a design of floral scrolls structured in scrolls and loaded with pomegranates, tulips and lilies. The missing white silk reveals the light brown hemp background. Without lining. Stable state. Beautiful presentation. Dimensions: 64 cm wide by 84 cm high
