"17th Century Studded Leather Trunk."
This 17th century studded leather trunk is dated 1614. It presents on the front a geometric frieze of ovals and circles on the lid. The four angles are adorned with daisies, in the center are placed the arms of France and Navarre. On either side of the hasp lock are marked two monograms probably indicating the initials of the spouses. The leather of the top and part of the sides is posterior.
