Passionate about the sea, Michel Bouquet was a marine and seascape painter. Born in Lorient on October 17, 1807, died in Paris on January 18, 1890. In 1860, he settled in Roscoff, a resort where he did a lot for tourism. It is said of him that he invented Roscoff.
