"Small Ceramic Vase Design Livia Gorka, Years 1950/1960."
Born in 1925 in Hungary, and daughter of an already recognized ceramist (Geza GORKA), Livia Gorka, after having worked alongside her father, traced her own path from 1959. .. She drew her inspiration from the nature, and his works are imprinted with it, often asymmetrical, organic, all in curves and in freedom...: each piece is unique, shaped by hand, even if the artist is fond of "series"... This small vase testifies to it, produced around 1960, and seeming to "dance" its own life, under its matte enamel with high relief, with forest hues... Signed under the GL HUNGARY base in black on yellow enamel. Excellent general condition; a very small chip on the collar to report (see photos). Height 17.5cm. ; diameter 8.6 cm Weight 681 grams.
