"Borghese Gladiator - Bronze XIX"
Bronze with black patina after the antique representing a combatant gladiator. This model called Borghese Gladiator was discovered in Italy. The original is on display at the Louvre Museum. It is the work of the sculptor Agasias of Ephesus and its creation is dated around 100 BC. Our high quality model dates from the middle of the 19th century. It rests on a red marble base (veneer) Note a shine to the base.
