Nephrite jade
Diameter: 20; Thickness: 3 cm
Nephrite jade disc carved in bas-relief with a zoomorphic figure with a serpentine body, following the circular shape of the object. It refers to the primitive form of the mythical dragon - a figure associated with the emperor of ancient China, and later with the people.
The protruding edges are punctuated by three ridges resembling dorsal fins.
Brown veins are visible on the reverse of the disc, the centre of which is marked by a slight protrusion.
