Circa 1800-1830 England (?) Chinoiserie in printed and painted silk hanging dating from the beginning of the 19th century, probable British manufacture. Decor of terraces and rocks pierced with imaginary flowers, exotic birds, Chinese characters and Turkish flags! Wall hanging lined with cream cotton and composed of several sewn patchwork pieces. Numerous slits restored in the silk which is stabilized thanks to its cotton lining. Exceptional piece in its repertoire but fragile to manipulation. Bright and preserved colors. Average state of preservation. Dimensions: 220cm x 245cm.
