He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence before moving to Paris where he continued his artistic training. From the 1930s, he exhibited his works in various salons and Parisian art galleries. He earns his living by making commissioned portraits, but becomes mainly known for his Corsican and Provençal landscapes. In 1927, he founded La Galerie contemporaine in Paris (Montmartre). He lived in Corsica from 1930 to 1938, then lived between Marseilles, Monaco and Paris until the end of his life.
