Large and beautiful Bronze Incense Burner with dragons and Samurai. It is attributed to Seiunsai for the Nakanoya company. Japan Meiji period (1868-1912). Very nice dark brown patina. Rich decoration in high relief of Dragons and Samurai. The body is decorated on one of its two sides with a scene with a samurai and on the other with birds among the branches. Lid surmounted by a protective samurai. Handles in high relief decorated with dragons. Pedestal with arched feet decorated with heads of Fô Dogs. It is in three parts. Very good condition and great finesse of realization. Height: 68.5 cm Diameter of the base: 20.5 cm Width at the level of the dragons: 28 cm Comes from an estate. I am also selling on Proantic a pair of bronze vases signed by Seiunsai for Nakanoya from the same estate and the same model as this incense burner.
