Important Louis XVI style wall lamp in gilded bronze illuminating with two lights, Napoleon III period. Remarkable carving work on the whole of this luminaire, the quality of the bronze of which is immediately noticeable by the impressive thickness and weight of the object (8 kg). The wall lamp consists of a very beautiful and elegant Louis XVI knot overhanging a floral medallion surrounded by a garland of pearls extending by a draped work. The sconces are adorned with a decoration of piastres. Two large garlands with laurel leaf motifs are positioned on each side of the wall lamp and are topped with a floral ornament. The base of the wall lamp is decorated with an exploded pomegranate. It is a real work of a master bronzier, of remarkable quality. Presence of a number and initials on the back of the luminaire, a guarantee of quality. Electrification is in good working order. This wall lamp is in very good condition, however patina wear is to be noted but gives all its old charm to the light (see photos of details) This light is sold with two modern cream-colored lampshades which have several small traces of 'use.
