Louis Burgade French painter, born January 12, 1803 in Bordeaux. Died in Bazas on February 7, 1876. Marine painter. He trained with his father Joseph and Pierre Lacour, then in Paris with Antoine-Jean Gros. Present at the Museum of Bordeaux Sources: Bénézit - Wikipedia Engraving representing the many transhipment activities on the quays of the Port of Bordeaux seen from Quinconces. We easily recognize the current architectural elements, the Pont de Pierre, the Place de la Bourse and the 18th century Customs buildings. Many boats and barges are represented, as well as the Orient vessel of the Royal Navy. Some wear of the paper in the sky in the center left. Presented under glass. Golden frame. Yselin, sculptor.
