"Large Ibo Or Igbo Statue From Nigeria"
Large Igbo statue representing a deity, beautiful red and black polychromy. The style is very characteristic of these statues, note the parakeet on the skull, signifying the spirit of the ancestors who guides. The jewels and the numerous scarifications indicate the importance of the character. Lack at the level of the feet, wear, bases, total height 102 cm. Former Belgian Serge Sheer collection.
