E. Kahn & Cie were late 19th century furniture makers and had showrooms in Paris and London. They were one of the best cabinet makers of the time, equivalent to other more famous French furniture makers such as Francois Linke, Paul Sormani and other renowned French cabinet makers. François Linke had even made it possible to illustrate Le Grand Bureau in the catalog of E. Kahn & Cie his most important creation, for which he won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
