An engraved cow horn powder flask.

Australian Colonial, first half of the 19th century.

Measures 36cm long.

The body is engraved with exotic birds amongst flowers, a kangaroo and a coat of arms beneath a crest of a hand clasping an arrow. The mid section of the horn is carved with protruding bands before tapering to a facetted end, the other end is carved with a serrated rim.
