The 4 volumes. François-Marie Arouet, known as Voltaire, is an 18th century philosopher and man of letters. A symbol of the Enlightenment, he alone embodies the committed intellectual and the power of public opinion. Educated by the Jesuits, Voltaire stood out in rhetoric and his ability to versify.
