"Louis XVI Fireplace, Ca.1850"
A very elegant Louis XVI fireplace, crispy carved out of the rare Enjugerais marble. The moulded stepped shelf is resting above a finely carved frieze with a central foliate Paterae, flanked by the split panelled frieze. The Paterea endblocks are of the same Acanthus form and are supported by voluted, angled jambs. Each massive jamb is topped with tumbling carved Acanthus leaf-details. A Louis XVI fireplace would also fit well, with most modern room-designs. All our fireplaces are included old marble floortiles, to make a frontfloor. We have also original decor-foyer-tiles, an option if you go for a real open fire. Worldwide shipping. Delivery in Europe can be done by Antique Fireplaces First: 'In House Delivery'.
