Rare elephant with its palanquin depicting a pagoda, in several parts. Probably created to serve as a middle of the table, we slipped a rod that can receive an electrical assembly to make a lamp. Satsuma porcelain, Japan, late 19th c. After being presented at the Universal Exhibition of 1867, the productions of these workshops were very successful throughout Europe. Very good condition, very original and beautiful dimensions.
