Exceptional and Unique Sterling Silver Teaspoon Set - Dessert Service with ravishing Japonisme decor, circa 1900. This
19-piece service comprises 18 Spoons and Sugar Tongs presented in their original fitted box from Maison Ferdinand Ducot in Bordeaux. Spoons have twist-fluted stems and bowls in Vermeil (18th carat Gold on Silver) characterized by their rat tail motif on the back. Exquisit decoration of different flowers and Bumblebbes are finely engraved on both sides of the handles, with each of the 18 spoons featuring a different decor both sides, and the sugar tongs on both sides - a total of 38 different hand engraved motifs. Truly exquisite craftsmanship.
Very finely crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with the
Minerve 1st Standard Hallmark (
.950) and mark of Master Goldsmith Specialty Jeweler
