Charles Graffart was a versatile Belgian artist born in 1863.
He is credited with a wide range of artistic works, including paintings, prints, sculpture, watercolour drawings and objects.
He worked with Val-Saint-Lambert in the early 1930s, when it launched a range of moulded glassware, the Luxval range, in a bid to compete with Czechoslovakia which, after the Wall Street crash of the early 1930s, was beginning to invade the market with more democratic items with great success.
