Pair of Louis XVI style cassolettes in light brown veined white marble, Napoleon III period. They are decorated with putti in term ending with an acanthus leaf. The puttis hold in their hands garlands of roses that go around the cassolettes. Their lids are removable and their sockets are seed-shaped. The bases are finished with gilt brass plinths to protect the marble which is an additional proof of quality. Ideal for decorating a chest of drawers or a fireplace. Beautiful quality of gilding.
