Célestin Lietaer (1874-1951): "The Room of Love in Anglet seen from the rocks of the Biarritz lighthouse", watercolor 18.5 X 26 cm, mounted in its small original frame 21 X 28 cm. Wounded at the start of the Great War, he came to Salies de Béarn for treatment, then moved to Biarritz, devoting himself to landscape and genre scenes. Our watercolor describes one of the most emblematic sites of the Basque Coast in a great finesse of absolutely delicate details.
