Persian Ispahan or Isfahan rug in wool and silk blend measuring 130 cm wide by 210 cm long.
Magnificent decor for this type of Persian considered to be the finest carpets found in Iran.

# Carpet knotted under the Kadjar or Kadjar dynasty ( Qājār, Qadjar, Qajar, Persian: قاجار )
Turkmen dynasty which reigned over Iran from 1786 to 1925.
The decoration of this room takes up traditional floral motifs which appear in the carpets of the 17th century and in mosques, on ancient ceramics. One easily recognizes in the interlacing of roses, daisies, as well as lotus flowers, present on the field and on the borders, often tied on these carpets. The border and its counter-borders are very sophisticated, as the arrangement of interlacing and flowers is of great finesse.
The design of the central medallion, fitted and polylobed, specific to these carpets, has elegant extensions in pendants in the shape of halberds.
The patterns of the corners, spandrels, based on ivory interlacing and stylized flowers on a pale blue background, testify to great research.
The colors are pleasant and have remained very fresh, Prussian blue, pale blue, ochre, burgundy, old pink, brown, green and deep red are shades that are rarely encountered.
We have great difficulty in imagining the infinite patience that was needed and that is needed to create such a beautiful piece.
Density of approximately 640,000 knots per M2 for a thickness of just under 5 millimetres.
The edges are in good condition, as well as the velvet.
