"Large Round Earthenware Dish Large Fire Decor Solanée Flowers Blue Camaïeu Eighteenth"
Large round dish with scalloped edge in high-fired earthenware decorated with solanée and ironwork on the edge in blue monochrome. From the 18th century. Massive earthenware, cracked and pitted engobe with firing defects, decorative workmanship reminiscent of Lyon more than Moustiers. Good condition, no cracks (sounds good), jumps in the white slip. Slight twist in shape that occurred during firing, certainly due to the size and weight of this piece. Diameter: 39cm.
