Bronze sculpture representing a bust of a young girl wearing a hat, signed by Van Der Straeten (1856 - 1941) with the stamp of the founder: Societé Des Bronzes de Paris. Bronze with nuanced brown patina Born in Belgium Van Der Straeten moved to Paris in 1883 . From 1885 he exhibited at the Paris Salon until 1912. At the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 he received the silver medal. The "Societé de Bronze de Paris" foundry is often cited between 1878 and 1930 and had its manufacturing workshops at 117 bld Voltaire in Paris. 5 cm high wooden base
