Exceptional large painting representing a bouquet of flowers in a vase with stylized decoration signed lower right by Émile GODCHAUX French painter of the 19th century, specializing in this type of subject, born in Bordeaux around 1860 and died in 1938. Probably the son of Alfred GODCHAUX, he is represented in many collections of French decorative paintings and is mentioned in a biography in the book of small French masters of the 19th century by Gérald SCHURR. By this painting we can see all the mastery and the quality of execution of the painter with very beautiful flat areas of material and very realistic and striking reliefs in an almost impressionist touch because executed in the 1890s.
