"Schall Cashmere Printed 19th"
This shawl is a wonderful example of the art of imitation as the print mimics the patterns, colors and even the weave stitch of genuine cashmere which was very expensive at the time. This very fashionable accessory, being less expensive, was sold to less well-off women. The brilliance of the colors and the sophistication of the patterns make it a truly remarkable piece. Despite some small losses in three places, it is in very good condition. 19th time. Maybe Mulhouse?
