"XIXth Century Rosewood Marquetry Tea Box."
Tea box in rosewood marquetry in frieze with nets and brass moldings. It is curved on all four sides. The top inlaid with mother-of-pearl on a cedar background is veneered with ebony on the inside. The two lids closing the tea compartments are in solid ebony. This pretty box will also make a very beautiful jewelry box. Very good condition, traces of wear inside and slight crack on the lid (see photos). The lock has its key and works perfectly. Period first half of the 19th century. W/D/H: 28.5 X 13.5 X 12 cm.
