Pierre RAFFY, an inventive artist, faced with the shortage of materials due to the war economy, designs cardboard panels with a metallic film that he covers with multicolored varnish and adds a light engraving of support. The illusion is then perfect and perfectly imitates paintings on copper or aluminum. Distributed by the Maîtrise (design department of Galeries Lafayette) RAFFY is a great success there.
