Beautiful polychromy In porcelain Signed below by Manufacture Karl Ens (Moulin vert) signifying that the porcelain dates between 1919 and 1945. Porzellanfabrik Karl Ens was founded in 1899, but it was not the family's first porcelain company Ens. Karl Ens (senior) founded Triebner, Ens & Co in 1860. In 1899 he left the company to start a new business, which quickly gained a reputation for producing high quality wares. A company founder had two sons, Karl and Eduard. Karl junior ran the factory from 1919 to 1939. In 1972 the company was nationalized and became part of VEB Sitzendorfer Porzellanmanufaktur under the name VEB Unterglasurporzellanfabrik. Eventually, in 1990, the factory was privatized again. Visible at the Courcelles Antiquités Gallery, at 41 rue des Acacias, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris
