"Remains Of A Louis XV Red Lacquered Wood Pin Box"
Here is old wooden pin box which has suffered, painted with lacquer varnish in beautiful red color and with a now worn bistre, gold and silver decor, of Chinese characters, in landscapes. Hinges, lid latch are neat, cut brass;French work, mid-18th century, old toilet item, in a slightly ruined condition all the same, wormholes, repaired nails, worn latch, but charming.
