Leaving the tavern
Oil on canvas 49 x 77 cm
Perfect condition
At market time, on a beautiful square, a merry dissipated band seems to come out of a tavern. The driver of the cart, who is being bored, does not allow himself to be pushed around and tries to push the men away with a stick. The paradox between the peaceful atmosphere of the city and this group of turbulent men is quite interesting and immerses us with them in this scene. The cathedral in the background has not been identified.
