Little is known about his life, although he is mentioned in "The Orientalists of the Spanish School" of Eduardo Dizy-Caso. These portraits were made during one of his frequent trips through the Strait of Gibraltar. His versatility is probably the consequence of his financial instability and, unable to devote himself to painting, he taught at the School of Fine Arts in Granada, while responding to orders for the restoration of works of art and paintings. drawing. He received a gold medal at the Barcelona exhibition in 1888. His works are often confused with those of Enrique Marin Sevilla and Enrique Marin Higuero, both from Andalusia.
