Object description :

"Antique Sculpture In Plaster Marcus Annius Verus Caesar"
This subject is in plaster, it is probably a realization of a workshop of the Louvre museum. It is beautifully made with a quality base. Marcus Annius Verus Caesar, born in 162 AD. J.-C. and died on September 10, 169, is the twelfth of the fourteen children of the Roman emperor Marc Aurelius and the empress Faustina the Younger. Annius was named Caesar on October 12, 166 with his brother Commodus, effectively designating them both heirs to the Roman Empire. Annius died on September 10, 169, aged seven, from complications after surgery to remove a tumor under his ear. His death leaves Commodus sole heir to the Empire. For the condition, note classic wear of time, an uneven nose, lacks in several places, everything remains however in good general condition. Our many photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the state, thank you for detailing the photos. Feel free to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description.
