This work was published posthumously, 21 years after the death of its author, its publication is the work of an Antwerp publisher.
Beautiful binding in full posterior vellum very well made, title label in red leather on the back, complete with the beautiful engraved frontispiece and 11 engraved vignettes, some quite astonishing (the last representing a lion and a tiger near a fire. Interior very fresh, a few traces on a few pages without gravity

Provenance: Beautiful unidentified ex-libris with the curious motto "Scavant nepuis investigator je suis", representing a man in a hat exploring a library of beautiful books, lantern in hand.
