Ivory-enamelled ceramic cornet vase, with bas-relief rotating decoration, by Ebbe Sadolin for Bing & Grondahl (Danish ceramic factory founded in 1853).
Mark under the base.
Around 1940.
Good condition.
Height : 29cm.
Base diameter : 13.5 cm.
Collar diameter : 25 cm.
Ebbe Sadolin (1900-1982) was a Danish writer, illustrator and ceramicist.
He studied graphic arts with Aksel Jorgensen.
He made his debut as a painter at the age of 19, but mainly produced drawings of vases and tableware for the production of ceramics.
From 1927, he was associated with Bing & Grondahl.
