This fine incense burner of very large size from the Kadjar period, in brass is only interlacing of foliage and branches, fantastic characters, high-ranking princes, intertwined roses, partridges and doves, a summary of the history of the Persian.
Finely engraved and openwork, its sumptuous decor is embellished with an old gold patina.
The foot with a frieze of roses is enhanced by a striped ring and brings us to an immense chalice where not a single square centimeter is untouched. The headdress is surmounted by a fretel as decorated as the whole.
An extraordinary piece, rare, in superb condition created under the Kadjar dynasty, mid to late 19th century.
Nice patina due to age, a nice piece for an informed amateur.
