"Lega Mask Idimu Republic Of The Congo"
I offer you this interesting Lega mask called Idimu, it was used for the rites of the Bwami society. These masks were sometimes worn, hung on poles, or handled as a fetish. It is made of light wood, from the cheese maker as is often the case with dance masks, it still wears its beard. Total height 28 cm without counting the beard, small gaps on the edge (see photo), wear, traces of xylophages, remains of white kaolin, beautiful and significant patina of interior and exterior use.
