"Art Deco Ring / Tank Synthetic Calibrated Rubies And Diamonds On Rose Gold And Platinum"
Tank ring from the early 1940s with Art Deco lines in 750/°° rose gold (18 KT, owl hallmark) and platinum edging (mascaron head). A typical association of this period, pink gold serves as the base for the entire body of the ring, as well as the central line setting of calibrated baguette-cut rubies. As required by the time, these rubies are synthetic, a sign of authenticity of this jewel. Two contrasting platinum borders on either side are set with 8/8 cut diamonds. Equally representative of Tank rings, the use of domed gadroons, both for the part set with diamonds and on the shoulder, with a gradient of loops bringing lightness to the ring. In this sense, this one also refers to the Art Deco rings, visually lighter than the later Tank rings, whose architecture is often arranged in the form of gradients....The center with its linear aesthetic also refers to the Art lines Deco, as well as the effect of palmettes created on the side of the body of the ring by the gradation of loops.
