"Black Lacquered Pedestal Table"
Pedestal from the 50s-60s. Hexagonal pedestal table completely black lacquered with a gallery in gilded bronze, it takes up the design of a pedestal table created around 1776 for the pagoda built for the Duke of Choiseul at the Château de Chanteloup (see last photo). The variant of the construction is the openwork pattern in the belt, 2 per side in this 20th century model, 3 in the original. We can think of a creation by Emilo Terry, a great 18th century enthusiast who worked for Charles de Beistégui at the Château de Groussay. Each side measures 38.5 cm. A few marks on the board.
