Large and beautiful inkwell from the Art Nouveau period signed by Paul Louchet, a complete artist, both painter, sculptor, bronzier and ceramist. It is in porcelain and bronze and the quality of the object is such that it is difficult to differentiate between the two materials. Perfect condition, just one of the two ink pots which is cracked. No accidents or restorations. About 45cm long. Paul Louchet is a very well referenced and documented Art Nouveau artist. There are several versions of our inkwell, often all in bronze. Here the cohabitation of the two materials seems rare with a very beautiful brown mordore enamel.
