Indonesian , historic (!) Buddisme-sculpture. Borobudur. 'Bodhisattva'. Exceptional. Epoque ca. 900-1.000. Made out of the vulcanic, dark-grey stone: Andersite. The Borobudur temple is an Unesco-qualified monument and it's almost imposible to find an original part of it. The Borobudur temple was for centuries an abbondaned, more or less forgotten temple, overgrowen by trees, in the middle of the forest. In that period, many sculptures dissapeared.
