"Enamelled Sandstone Vase Signed Jean Garillon Numbered"
Stoneware vase in the natural shade of clay, enamelled with floral decoration, subtle purple and gold iridescent colors. This vase is by Jean Xavier Ernest Elchinger dit Jean Garillon - 1898-1981. He will officiate in the first half of the 20th century in the family workshops. Ceramist at the crossroads, he will mix the traditional know-how of the potters of Soufflenheim in Alsace with the modernity of the Art Deco current, this vase is signed and numbered. Céramiques Elchinger is a family business established in Alsace in 1834. Since then, generations have followed one another and offer a production as varied as it is avant-garde.
