Cavalry sword, model 1728-90, period of the King of Spain "CHARLES IV", blade dated 1798. Double-edged flat blade of 85 cm bearing the inscription crowned letter "R", dated 1798, and stamped CS IV for Charles IV. Marking "T" for toledo, "C" for cavalry. (see photos). Guard with shell and inverted quillon bearing crowned "R" and T hallmark. Simple guard branch not attached to the bottle-shaped pommel and rivet button. Filigree rocket with splints Branch with no donkey inside the shell and quillon with inverted end.
